Main Features
Randomized Missions
Every contract can be selected randomly.
The system can prevent the same mission from appearing immediately again and also supports randomized offers after resource restarts.
Mission types can contain multiple objectives such as:
- Acquire an item
- Search for a target
- Eliminate a target
- Investigate a crime scene
- Collect evidence
- Retrieve elimination confirmation
- Return to the contractor
- Receive the final reward
Target Search System
Targets are not simply marked with an exact waypoint.
Players receive a search area and must locate the target themselves.
A target can be discovered when:
- The player gets close enough to the target
- The target is visibly detected on the player's screen
Once discovered, the assassination objective begins.
Multiple Elimination Modes
Contracts can use different elimination requirements.
Silent
The target must be eliminated quietly, for example with a suppressed weapon or melee attack.
Timed
Once the target has been discovered, the player only has a limited amount of time to complete the elimination.
Neutral
The player can decide how the target should be eliminated.
Mission creators can configure which modes are available for every contract.
Elimination Confirmation
Killing the target is not automatically enough to complete the contract.
After the elimination, players must approach the body and collect an Elimination Confirmation.
This confirmation is required before the contract can be completed and the reward can be collected from the contractor.
Crime Scene Investigation
Contracts can include investigation objectives.
Players may have to:
- Search crime scenes
- Inspect mission props
- Collect evidence
- Locate documents
- Find mission-related objects
Evidence objectives can contain multiple individual items that must all be collected before the mission continues.
Hardcore Missions
Each contract has a configurable chance to become a HARDCORE Mission.
Hardcore contracts can remove navigation assistance such as:
- World markers
- Evidence markers
- Exact map routes
- Investigation markers
Players must then rely on visible props, the environment and mission information instead of simply following markers.
The Hardcore probability is completely configurable.
Mission HUD
During an active mission, a compact KCD mission interface is displayed at the top of the screen.
It can show:
- Current objective
- Current mission step
- Total mission steps
- Current team size
- Elimination mode
- Countdown timers
- Hardcore status
- Evidence progress
The interface uses the KCD blue-focused design with pink accents and no color gradients.
Because this is the Full Open Source version, the complete interface can be redesigned.
Solo & Team Missions
Missions can be played alone or with another player.
Team progress is synchronized, including:
- Mission steps
- Target discovery
- Target elimination
- Investigation progress
- Evidence collection
- Elimination confirmation
Mission objectives are not completed multiple times just because two players are participating.
Persistent Cooldown System
The resource includes configurable mission cooldowns.
Default configuration:
Successful Contract:
2 Hour Cooldown
Cancelled Contract:
30 Minute Cooldown
Cooldowns can persist across resource and server restarts.
Mission Cancellation
Active contracts can be cancelled by returning to the assassination contractor.
Cancelling a mission applies a separate configurable cooldown.
For team contracts, the mission can be cancelled for the entire team.
Admin Commands
Example administrative commands include:
/kcdresetcooldown [ID]
Reset a player's Assassination Missions cooldown.
/kcdrestetcooldown [ID]
Alternative cooldown reset command.
/kcdassassinationreroll
Generate a new mission offer.
Admin permissions can be configured using ACE permissions and supported ESX groups.
